Electronic Design/Verification EngineerSynopsys is seeking a creative, aspiring and talented engineer to fill a Verification/Design role in Porto, Portugal. These technologies are today used on smartphones, tablets, laptops, IoT, wearables, and automobiles.As these designs are part of the DesignWare portfolio it presents the opportunity for the successful candidate to have their work used in many of the leading products that are developed by Synopsys customers. We develop best in class designs using the latest best practice in verification to ensure their quality and we need the right people to keep making this happen.As a worldwide organization there is sometimes short term travel required.RequirementsUsually developing professional understanding, and may apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. At a minimum, has working knowledge of work area and general proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job. Exercises judgment to establish appropriate action. Implementations and solutions are reviewed for accuracy and overall adequacy. Builds productive internal/external working relationships. Contacts are primarily within business unit and occasional organizational and external customer contacts on routine matters.Key RequirementsMaster's degree in Electrical EngineeringGood problem-solving skills.Good English communication skills.Capability to produce adequate technical documentation.Willingness to learn new things.Capability to work as a team member and promote excellent working relationships.Relevant Qualifications Knowledge of IC design flows.Exposure to Verilog/VHDL.Exposure to System Verilog or VMM or OVM or UVM.Exposure to Unix, Perl, and TCL scripting.Knowledge of MIPI or similar protocols would be advantageous.At Synopsys, we’re at the heart of the innovations that change the way we work and play.
