FEP| FCT Tenure 1.A Ed.| 1 Assistant Researcher | Economics(specific domain of Quantitative Methods for Business Sciences)| - Ref. 2024/33 Pr. 97University of Porto – Porto, Distrito do PortoNOTICE OF OPENING OF AN INTERNATIONAL SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF AN ASSISTANT RESEARCHER IN THE SCIENTIFIC FIELD OF ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT SCIENCES AT THE SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT OF THE UNIVERSITY OF PORTO (FEP) – (PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT)Functional DutiesResearch; Knowledge transfer and valorization; Science and technology management and communication, and other tasks; Teaching and training activities, when applicable.Conduct high-level research that develops new theories, methodologies, and applications for management, possibly at the intersection of economics and finance; Analyze complex data (both quantitative and qualitative) using statistical software and make data-driven decisions that can inform management strategies; Develop and implement mathematical models to simulate management scenarios, forecast outcomes, and provide strategic recommendations; Carry out cutting-edge research in the field of multimodal generative AI in accordance with the highest ethical and legal standards; Collaboratively teach intermediate (Master's level) and advanced (Doctoral level) courses in quantitative methods and supervise postgraduate students; Collaborate with other researchers on interdisciplinary projects; Publish research findings in peer-reviewed scientific journals and present at conferences.Admission RequirementsThis competition is open to national, foreign, and stateless candidates who hold a PhD in the fields of Economics, Management, or Finance, and possess a scientific and professional curriculum in the scientific area(s) of this recruitment process.Specific Admission RequirementsProven experience in research in the area of Quantitative Methods for Business Sciences; At least one (1) articleon topics related to Quantitative Methods for Business Sciences published or definitively accepted for publication in the last five years in scientific journals indexed in categories 3 to 4 of the Academic Journal Guide ranking.Preferred RequirementsParticipation in competitively funded scientific projects in the field of Quantitative Methods for Business Sciences; Strong skills in programming (STATA, R, or Python), data analysis, and results visualization.Application SubmissionApplications must be submitted by 23h59m of November 22, 2024 (Lisbon local time) through the online application system available on the FEP website.Candidate RightsNotifications will be sent by email, and candidates will have 10 business days to respond following notification, before a final decision is made.Final ProvisionsThe competition is exclusively for filling the positions specified in this Notice, which may be closed until the final ranking list is ratified.#J-18808-Ljbffr
