.Procurement Manager of Food & BeverageAbout Us:Lisbon Street Kitchen (LSK) is a hospitality collective that believes in the transformative power of food.
As we continue to grow and expand our culinary ventures, we are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and resourceful Procurement Manager of Food & Beverage to join our team.
This critical role will ensure the efficient purchasing, receiving, quality assessment, and inventory management of all food and beverage supplies essential to our operations.Job Role:As our Procurement Manager of Food & Beverage, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of food and beverage procurement—from sourcing and purchasing to storage and utilization.
You will play a pivotal role in maintaining quality standards, optimizing inventory, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing strategies.
Your expertise will help drive operational excellence across our group.Your responsibilities will include:Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and community partners.Receiving and analyzing requisitions from staff for food and beverage needs.Developing and maintaining a food management database to track inventory, purchases, and waste.Ordering food and beverage products by evaluating vendors based on price, quality, and reliability, and entering purchases into the food management database.Sourcing and recommending new vendors to meet evolving operational needs.Ensuring food and beverage items are consistently stocked in optimal condition, especially perishable items like produce and dairy.Verifying the accuracy and quality of received orders, addressing incomplete deliveries, and coordinating with suppliers to resolve discrepancies.Maintaining proper storage practices, including stock rotation (FIFO) and adherence to industry standards for food safety and sanitation.Conducting regular inventory counts, reconciling discrepancies with accounting, and updating inventory records.Using inventory management systems to track costs, usage, and waste of food and beverage supplies.Coding invoices, coordinating with finance for vendor payments, and reconciling invoices on a weekly or monthly basis.Coordinating the delivery and receipt of food and beverage products to ensure seamless operations.Assisting with or coordinating the preparation and storage of fresh produce for future use.Qualifications:To excel in this role, you should possess:A post-secondary diploma in a relevant field such as Culinary Arts, Hotel and Resort Management with a food management component, or an apprenticeship certificate in Culinary.At least three years of experience in food and beverage purchasing and receiving.Current certification in safe food handling.Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with food management systems and inventory software.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
).Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
