Learn more at www.Dremio.Com.About the roleAs a Senior Technical Developer at Dremio, you will be joining a team of dedicated and passionate individuals guiding our Data Lakehouse customers to success.
As a Senior Technical Developer, you will be responsible for developing both technical documentation (docs.Dremio.Com) and educational programming (university.Dremio.Com).What you'll be doingCollaborating closely with Product Managers, UX/UI designers and engineers to create technical documentation for product features and functionality.Develop locally in markdown and push to a private documentation repository while also serving as a reviewer in the private documentation repository.Own the authoring, review process, quality and feedback loop for documentation areas that are assigned through Jira Sprints or formally through product persona assignment.Proofread and copy edit documentation that is submitted by Dremio Product Group peers and other contributors to the Dremio Documentation.Collaborating closely with Product Managers, UX/UI designers and engineers to create courses in Dremio U that feature videos, reading, knowledge validation and on-exercises.Build course content within Learn Worlds (Dremio's Learning Management System).Own the review process, quality and feedback loop for other teams that are developing education in Dremio U either for customers or other audiences (partners or employees for example).What we're looking for5+ years of experience as a technical writer, instructional designer, content developer or other similar roles.Experience writing technical documentation and educational content (courses, guides, how-tos, etc).Familiarity with GitHub (via CLI) to manage branches and push documentation updates to the repository.Familiarity with JIRA for request, task and writing management as well as review process.Bonus points if you haveKnowledge on Big Data, Cloud and distributed systems.Instructional Design experience.SQL experience.Return to Office PhilosophyWorkplace Wednesdays - to break down silos, build relationships and improve team communication.
