The Role
The SeniorDeliveryManager provides tactical and strategic leadership, oversight and direction tomulti-disciplineteammembers that span multiple concurrent projects. You should have a solid technical andmanagerialbackground, provenproblem-solvingskills, be a strong technical andorganizationalleaderwithpositiveresults-drivenattitude and be able to demonstrate yourabilitytoworkin afast-pacedenvironment.
What You'll be Doing
Workcloselywiththe key business customers,stakeholders, external partners andallgroups within theTechnologyorganisationto implement, evolve,supportand own the software and system components toappropriatequality standards, within Blip's overalinfrastructure;
Clearlycommunicateand promote strategies, roadmaps,dependenciesand plans for products and/or components;
Own the productlifecycleand beresponsiblefor managingalldeliveryrisks;
Managealltechnical resources andcapacityplans within budget and project schedule;
Responsiblefor fostering an open-source mindset and for maintaining strong andcollaborativerelationshipswithother Senior Managers among PPB or other divisions;
Lead, inspire, motivate and linemanagean area compose by severalmulti-disciplinesoftwaredevelopmentteams and Managers;
Coach, hold 1 to 1s, set and reviewobjectives, appraise performance, and assistwithcareerdevelopment, ensuring effective performancemanagement;
Help build a 'deliverywithhigh quality' culture that isaccountabilityand resultsorientated;
Responsiblefor achieving and sustaining employeeengagement;
Serve asliaisonbetween thedeliveryteamand keystakeholder(s);
Execute, plan andmanagechanges asappropriateto meet changing needs andrequirements;
Continuousimprovementof processes throughautomationof common procedures, andimplementationof standards, processes and checklists;
Prioritizealltasks throughoutallphases of the projectlifecycle;
Foster anappropriatesense of urgency to deliver results at pace;
Activelymeasure and review theProductivity,Velocity, Quality and Duration ofdelivery, taking prompt corrective action wherenecessary.
What You'll Bring
Proven track record ofleadingand managing teams on complex software projects;
Using agile methods for softwaredelivery;
Workingwithdistributed, redundant andtransactionalsystems and the testing of these;
Managing thedevelopmentof ateamby ensuring that project tasks are in linewitheachteammember's career interests where possible
BSc in Computer Science orequivalentdemonstrableknowledge;
Manageeffectivelyateamconsisting of multiple disciplines;
Stronganalyticalanddiagnosticskills,particularlywithregard to technical risks, issues and constraints;
Able toleadand motivate others;
Workwell under time andenvironmentalpressures;
Demonstrate seniorprinciples,leadingby example in terms ofworkethic andprofessionalattitude;
Able to projectmanageworkandprioritiseeffectively;
Excellent written and verbalcommunicationskills (English and Portuguese);
