C++/Python Programmer in Disease and Health-care Process Simulation ModellingLocation: Europe, (Flexible, Remote)Overview:The Core Diabetes Model is a- simulation model used to inform health policy decisions and conduct economic evaluations for interventions aimed at controlling diabetes by delaying the occurrence of its complications.You will play an integral role in supporting the team expand the model in new, related therapeutic areas, as well as optimizing its use in the C++ environment and/or transfer to a new platformFurther you will support in the development of new disease simulation modelsIf you are interested in disease and- care processes simulation modelling and wish to apply your technical skills to help inform healthcare decision making, this is the role for youEssential FunctionsC ++ /Python programmer focused on maintaining and developing a- simulation software in these platforms.Understand and be able to code complex statistical regression models (linear, logistic survival with- varying inputs) to predict clinical endpoints (such as QRisk )Communicate and share results to lay audiences (perform- validations in MS Excel, prepare technical reports in MSWord and/or PPT, contribute to manuscripts writing, and communication with clients).RequirementsBSc degree in Medical/Biomedical sciences/engineering, or mathematicsDemonstrable interest in population health science, public health, epidemiologyExperience in disease modelling, healthcare analytics and/or medical statistics: strong understanding of survival analysis, logistic regression, and mathematical models within life science applicationsExcellent programming skills in Python and C++. Experience with the software development lifecycle including requirements definition, specification capture, software architecture/design, program development, associated documentation, test automation, and maintenance.Experience with typical industry tools including standard libraries and frameworks, interactive development environments, software version control, build systems, automated testing frameworks, and bug tracking systems.An energetic, enthusiastic,- active,- solving attitudeStrong oral and written communication skills in EnglishEffective at collaborating remotely with colleagues.What we offerHave a pivotal role in the development of the most used and validated- care decision model to date (over 120 Medline listed publications), preferred and used by- technology assessment bodies around the World.Opportunity to learn and apply your skills in other therapeutic areas of- economic modelling such as, modelling of infectious diseases, building discrete event simulations to optimize healthcare resource allocation and processes.#LI-MONICABOBOCEA#LI-REMOTEIQVIA is a leading global provider of advanced analytics, technology solutions and clinical research services to the life sciences industry.
