Now and in the future.enhesa.comWho are you?We are looking for a motivated Cyber Security Engineer to join our IT team based in Lisbon.
This role will report to our Cyber Security Lead and will play a pivotal role in our organization.
This is hybrid role where you would be expected to come to our brand new office at least once a week.The Security Engineer supports Enhesa's cybersecurity infrastructure by implementing robust security controls, deploying innovative security solutions, and investigating security incidents.
This role is pivotal in maintaining the security posture through meticulous incident analysis and effective mitigation strategies.
Beyond technical responsibilities, the position requires excellent collaboration and communication with various departments to align security policies and procedures with overall business objectives and compliance regulations.
For this role, it is also expected to stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends and threats, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
This role demands a proactive security approach, anticipating potential vulnerabilities and acting preventively to thwart incidents before they occur.
Additionally, this role requires autonomy in managing security projects, with full responsibility for end-to-end deliverables.
The person will lead project execution and coordinate with internal stakeholders across the Enhesa.
In this role, you will:Coordinate Security Projects, Implement and maintain security measures and controls.
Monitor security systems and analyze potential threats.
Conduct security assessments and audits.
Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, documentation, and coordination of recovery efforts.
What can you bring to the table?Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, mathematics, or related field or professional cybersecurity certifications in lieu of a formal degree.
At least 3 years of experience as cybersecurity professional.
As well as:Ability to think critically and solve problems under pressure identify appropriate datasets and drive annotation for machine learning techniques.
Commitment to continuous learning and skill updating.
Knowledge of networks (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN); Must possess a solid understanding of networking basics, including TCP/IP protocols, and the configuration and operation of both Local Area Networks (LAN) and wide Area Networks (WAN).
Awareness of how these networks facilitate communication and the potential security implications is essential.
Basic familiarity with the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model, including the understanding of its seven layers and how they contribute to network communications and cybersecurity practices.
Security protocols, for example: (HTTPS, DNS, SMTP, FTP, SSH).
Firewalls (IDS/IPS) familiar with the concepts and purposes of these tools.
Understanding of information security principles, such as confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
Spam and Malware Filtering: Knowledge about how spam and malware filtering systems work.
Phishing and Spear Phishing: Understanding of phishing and spear phishing techniques, including how to identify fraudulent emails and preventative measures to educate end-users.
Email Authentication: Familiarity with email authentication protocols such as SPF (Sender Policy Framework), DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail), and DMARC.
Familiarity with operating systems, especially Windows, Linux or Unix, and MacOS.
Knowledge and familiarity with incident investigation and response processes and tools.
Specific Knowledge and Skills such as programming languages (Python, Powershell).
High levels of professionalism, interpersonal skills and personal drive.
Team player: ability to work on a team in a collaborative environment, sharing information and best practices.
Fluent in English.
Other languages are an asset.
Microsoft Office Suite 365.
Splunk implementation and configuration.
Knowbe4, assign and coordinate security awareness training modules.
