POSITION SUMMARY

The Global Advanced Mfg. Engineer for Heaters is a specialist in this product andisconsidered aSME. This position in conjunction with Engineering Groups, develops New Products, Manufacturing Technologies and successfully implements strategies in support of new processes and new technology launches for the Heaters and related Products.The Global Advanced Mfg. Engineerestablishes Global manufacturing standards,and helps the plants solvemanufacturingprocessissues. The natural working environment for Global AME Engineer will be the Product Development Engineering Team as he is expected to collaborate with them very closely.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaboratewith Engineering GroupsandsupportdevelopingeHeaterproducts

Collaborate with R & D to develop Engineering guidelines and standards.

Develop manufacturing strategies thatprovidemaximum operational flexibility with minimal investments.

ActivelyparticipateinLPPD Workshops and ensure the products and processes are robust.

Ensure manufacturing best practices and lessons learned are implemented intonew designs

Give consent to the engineering designsandmanufacturingconceptsof the product.

Develop flexible manufacturing systems specifications to meet customerrequirements.

Develop innovative processes for globalimplementation.

Focal point for manufacturing technical discussions with cross-functional team,management,and customers

Assembly ofHeaters& test equipmentdesign anddeveloping equipment specifications.

Collaborate with plants in developing the Equipment SOW and acceptance criteria of the equipment.

Collaborate with Product Engineering and plants in prototype development and testing, ensuring a smooth knowledge transfer between Proto builder to the plants.

DevelopManufacturing Standards and base BOP'sand train theplant personnel.

Be the technical Lead for theHeatercouncil and mentor the plants with problem-solving.

Represent Global AME group at the ETTS plants and develop confidence in total customer (plant and Eng. groups).

Maintain Global Capacity and Capacity Utilizationdashboard.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in engineeringdiscipline required;master's degree in engineeringpreferred.

5years engineering experienceat the plant levelrequired, Electromechanical device experience is Required.

Understand the principles ofheat exchangers.

Has advanced knowledge in Electricity, Electromechanical and ElectricKnowledge in converting electrical energy into thermal energy, solid-state controls, capacitance,EMCandEMI.

KnowledgeinHeating elements, High Voltage connections and heat transfer methodologies.

Experience with various Connections such as soldering, micro weldingetc..

Test electromechanical systems, machines, and components usingappropriate equipment. Gather and analyze data. Monitor and evaluate system performance andactif needed.

ExperienceinconductingDesign Reviews for DFM,DFAand Value Methodologies.

In-Depth knowledge of automation and robotics.

WorkingKnowledge inA-SPICEand EDFProcesses

The ability to travel50% of the time.

Education, Skills, Knowledge Requirements:
Bachelorsin engineering, Masters Preferred.

Analytical and creative way of working

In-depth knowledge in GD&T

Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes

Manufacturing Experience in Electric & Hybrid Systems

Complete Understanding of Lean Manufacturing

Solid understanding of Engineering financials (Cap-Ex Planning and equipment costing)

Strong understanding of quality systems,change management principles and processes.

Working knowledge ofIATF,FMEA, DFM/DFA and APQPrequired

Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis and/or 8D Problem Solvingrequired

Good communicationskills for both internal and external customers.

Working knowledge of Health and Safety systems and procedures.
