The Opportunity: The Data Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the development and deployment of Power BI reports and their underlying datasets, to provide analytics to a wide range of functional teams at ECI.
This person will lead projects to bring and enhance visibility into key enterprise metrics and drive action based on the resulting insights.
The successful candidate should be skilled at asking probing questions for clarity and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical audiences.
This role requires advanced proficiency working with complex SQL queries.The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail-oriented individual who is equally comfortable with back-end data structures, visualization, and storytelling.
This is an Onsite role.What you will do: Reporting: Create PowerBI reports and dashboards that provide insights to stakeholdersData Modeling: Design and develop data models that support business requirementsData Vizualization: Create visualizations that help stakeholders understand complex data insightsDeployment: Oversee the QA and deployment of reporting made available for consumption; Coordinate and assist with User Acceptance Testing, conducting demos, participating in stakeholder reviews, as well as assuming the role of post-release Subject Matter ExpertData Integrity: Communicate frequently when reports are under maintenanceRequirement Gathering: Responsible for working with other groups to efficiently define requirements and support their business objectives; these requirements will be used for tasks assigned to this role and tasks assigned to data analystsUser Engagement: Engage with stakeholders to analyze and isolate root cause of data issues and drive data cleansing effortsDocumentation: Maintain SharePoint knowledge base documentation related to solution requirements, data flow diagrams, business glossary and data lineage Who you are: Should have + years of relevant experience.Education/Experience: College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information science, management information systems, or business administration or a related field or equal years of experienceData Analysis: Proven track record of analyzing large datasets and extracting meaningful insights from themStatistics and Databases: Firm understanding of statistics and databases to be able work with data effectivelyProblem Solving: Ability to identify problems and develop solutions that can help the org achieve its goalsCommunication: Strong communication skills to be able to explain complex data insights to non-technical stakeholdersCollaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and collaborate with other departments to achieve common goalsChange Management: experience creating reports in a sandbox before pushing to ProductionDedicated to innovation of existing operational processesAbility to effectively prioritize and negotiate tradeoffs with stakeholdersProficiency with ETL methodologies & syncing data across disparate systems+ years related experience and building analytic solutions+ years working with SQL and databasesExperience navigating large datasetsExceptional at finding trends in dataExperience applying statistical techniques to understand and quantify the relationships between metrics to help differentiate between correlation and causation Bonus points if you have: Working Python experience, a plus ECI's culture is all about connection - connection with our clients, our technology and most importantly with each other.
