FINANCE We're a diverse team who partners and supports the business to enable delivery against our strategic and financial goals. All of our functions have an instrumental role within Farfetch to drive forward a financially sustainable business, ensuring we set the guardrails for financial control and enable financial performance. PORTO Our office is near Porto, in the north of Portugal, and is located in a vibrant business hub. It offers a dynamic and welcoming environment where our employees can connect and network with a large community of tech professionals. ROLE We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Direct Tax Associate to manage and oversee tax compliance and planning activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Portuguese and international tax laws and regulations, as well as tax and financial incentives, and will work closely with the global tax team to ensure compliance and optimize tax strategies. WHAT YOU'LL DOAssist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provision calculations in accordance with IFRS or US GAAPEnsure accurate and timely reporting of tax-related items in financial statementsResearch tax legislation and regulatory changes within the EMEA regionProvide analysis and interpretation of new tax laws and regulations and their impact on the companyIdentify the main R&D taxa and financial incentives across the globe, with a special focus on PT R&D regime ("SIFIDE") and RFAIParticipate in the coordination between internal teams and advisors to get optimized incentivesEnsure timely filing of all tax claims and related compliance documentationWork closely with internal teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure alignment on tax mattersSupport the global tax team in various projects and initiativesWHO YOU AREBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related fieldDegree or Specialisation in Taxation or a related field is a plus4-6 years of experience in tax, preferably with a focus on international taxExperience with multinational companies or Big4 is strongly preferredStrong knowledge of international tax laws and regulationsProficiency in tax compliance and accounting software (Dynamics365 and SAP)Fluency in EnglishREWARDS & BENEFITSHealth insurance for the whole family, flexible working environment and well-being support and tools Extra days off, sabbatical program and days for you to give back for the community Training opportunities and free access to Udemy Flexible benefits programEQUAL OPPORTUNITIES STATEMENTFARFETCH is committed to being an inclusive workplace where diversity in all its forms is celebrated.
