We are looking for a new colleague to strengthen our Core Engineering Team in Ponte de Lima, Portugal
Main accountabilities, responsabilities and deliverables: Development of new textile fabrics, taking into account the interaction with other airbag components and the overall restraint system; Close cooperation with design department, testing, production, purchasing, sales Coordination of development activities at the supplier; Technical contact person for airbags, their equipment, assembly and use by the customer; Responsibility for the textile components of the airbag module in interdisciplinary project teams; Planning and analysis of experiments and computer-aided simulation with the relevant departments; Development of product improvements and creation of specifications. Required skills and experience / main competences: Textile engineer or engineering degree with comparable knowledge; In-depth knowledge in the field of technical fabrics or yarns and their manufacturing processes; Knowledge of design methodology, structural and material mechanics; Professional experience in the automotive supply industry is an advantage; Goal-oriented way of working, high team oriented and communication skills; Very good English and preferable German language skills.
