Delivering exceptional IT & Digital talent within Energy, EV & PaymentsMy client is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to join their team, with a particular focus on Security, network, and cloud-based projects.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role involves leading cross-functional teams, liaising with key stakeholders, and overseeing the design, implementation, and optimisation of network and cloud infrastructure solutions.
There will be some travel to the Milan office needed once per month.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects, primarily focusing on Security, networks and cloud solutions.Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders.Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets to guide project execution and ensure successful delivery.Coordinate internal and external resources, including third-party vendors, to ensure project milestones are met.Manage project risks, identify issues proactively, and implement effective mitigation strategies.Oversee the design, deployment, and integration of network infrastructure and cloud solutions, ensuring alignment with organisational needs and strategic goals.Conduct regular project status meetings, providing clear updates on progress, challenges, and achievements to stakeholders.Ensure all project deliverables comply with relevant standards, regulations, and best practices.Manage change control processes and ensure any project modifications are assessed, documented, and approved.Continuously improve project management processes and methodologies to drive efficiency and project success.Provide leadership and mentorship to junior project management staff and team members.Key Skills and Experience: Proven experience as an Infrastructure Project Manager, with a strong focus on network and cloud-based projects.Some understanding of network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, routing, switching, firewalls, etc.) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or similar) and Agile or Waterfall methodologies.Demonstrable experience in leading large, complex projects from initiation to completion.Excellent organisational, time-management, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.Knowledge of ITIL processes and standards is advantageous.Professional certifications such as PMP, Prince2, or relevant cloud/network certifications.Qualifications: Additional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) or relevant technical certifications in networking and cloud platforms are highly desirable.Seniority levelMid-Senior level
