Job Summary: As a Frontend Engineer, you'll be focused on user interface development, crafting visually appealing and interactive web applications.
You'll work collaboratively with a team of engineers and designers to create user-friendly, responsive, and high-performance frontend solutions, creating and handling asynchronous and event-driven workflows in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and maintain frontend components and user interfaces for web applications.Collaborate with designers to design responsive user interfaces.Optimize frontend code and assets for speed and performance, ensuring a seamless user experience.Pay attention to cross-browser compatibility.Create mobile-friendly and responsive designs that adapt to different screen sizes and devices.Implement best UI/UX design practices to enhance user satisfaction and usability.Develop interactive features and components using JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular.js, Vue.js).Write and maintain unit tests, conduct thorough testing, and troubleshoot frontend issues.Work closely with backend engineers, designers, and other team members to deliver seamless integrated solutions.Create clear and concise technical documentation for frontend code and development processes.Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend development trends and industry best practices.Requirements: Proficiency in Vanilla JavaScript and modern frameworks such as ReactJS, Ember, Backbone, Vue.js, Angular.js, and Node.js.Experience with test automation tools: Jest, Jasmine, Mocha, and Chai.Ability to write reusable UI components focused on performance, responsiveness, accessibility, and monitoring.Experience working with high transactional relational databases like PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB.Proficiency in markup and styling with HTML5 and CSS3.Understanding of protocols and architectural patterns like HTTP, REST, and GraphQL.Experience managing packages and their dependencies using Yarn, npm, etc.English proficiency.Ability to develop software with high standards, considering metrics, tracing, business needs, and strategy.Experience working with Docker containers and diving deep into the system if needed.Benefits: Hybrid working model.Flexible working hours.Cozy at-home vibe for those wishing to work from the office.Competitive salary and benefits (e.g., Health Insurance and Meal Allowance).Bureaucracy-free workplace.Two types of contracts are available: Work Contract & Service Agreement.Support for visa/relocation needs.Mental well-being and work-life balance taken seriously.Budget or reimbursement for external training and attending conferences.Potential traveling (0%-10% of the time, varies according to project/client).* We offer the option to work 100% remotely, from the office for those living around the Porto Metropolitan area, or a mixture of the two
