What are you working on? Genres: Role-playing Platforms: Mobile For which tasks (responsibilities)? About the Role: As a Lead Animator, you will play an impactful role by working very closely with developers and designers to build solid foundations for gameplay. We are looking for someone who will lead by example and produce high-quality content with the animation vision as well as focus on the architecture of our gameplay and motion systems.
The Lead Animator will plan, assign and supervise the work of the animators. You will ensure the team's optimal performance and resolve and manage the situations that hinder the attainment of production goals by the animation team.
Responsibilities: Manage a team of animators, offering guidance, feedback and support
Ensure the team's deliverables meet the quality standards of the project.
Implement animations into the game engine, ensuring they perform well within the technical constraints of the project.
Stay updated with the latest animation techniques, tools, and technology.
Optimise the animation process and pipelines. 
Act as the perfect link between Design and Code to build the foundations of gameplay.
Hands-on involvement in achieving the team's goals.
Collaboration and Coordination 
Collaborate with other artists, designers, and engineers on our team to solve complex issues to deliver the highest quality outputs
Solutions focussed: anticipating, identifying and articulating areas requiring attention to mitigate risks and to develop solutions
Collaborate closely with the Creative Director & Leads to define and achieve visual goals, maintaining a cohesive and captivating artistic direction throughout the project.
Planning and Management Highly skilled at managing team of artists day to day
Set clear team goals and communicate expected standards of creative asset quality to each individual on your team.
Delegate tasks and set deadlines to the team members
Motivate team members and guide them to improve and grow
Ensure positive approach to solving any conflicts or issues with individuals
Mentoring Highly skilled at mentoring, coaching and guiding team members to ensure the successful execution of design projects.
Participate in team performance management reviews with HR
Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
Discover training needs and provide coaching / mentoring to team
Suggest and organise team building activities
What kind of professional are we looking for? Qualification/Skills: Minimum of 7 years' experience in animation in game development, especially in Mobile RPG Games, animation Direction expertise.
Strong knowledge of Unity Engine is a must and MotionBuilder, Unreal Engine are an added advantage. 
Expert in Animation principles.
Expert in facial and action movements.
Understanding of Character rigging for games.
Expert in Animation in Maya, Blender, MotionBuilder and other similar tools.
Willing to adapt new animation tools and can also create training materials for other team members.
Ability to work with both hand-keyed animations and motion capture.
Strong knowledge or understanding of Animation in Unity and State machines. 
Knowledge of the human anatomy, physiological reactions, body language and proportions in character concepts in order to express character emotions through movement
Great problem-solving and communication skills.
Strong leadership, time and priority management skills.
Good command of English (verbal and written).
A strong reel showcasing your skills.
