We're looking for a Backend Developer with deep database expertise to join our innovative team at Altar.
You'll work on cutting-edge projects across various industries, collaborating with entrepreneurs and business leaders from companies like YouTube, HSBC, and Coca-Cola.
With us, you'll not be alone working in these cutting-edge technologies.
You'll be among a cross-functional team of seasoned Altarions with expertise in a multitude of sectors, from fintech and marketplace to AI and IoT.
What you'll be doing: As a Backend Developer & Data Specialist, you'll:
Design and develop microservices and REST/GraphQL APIs;Architect and implement database solutions across multiple paradigms;Optimize database performance and query efficiency;Create and maintain ETL pipelines;Implement data migration strategies.The hands-on experience we need you to bring to the table: 3+ years as a Backend Developer with either Python, Golang, or Node.js/Express.js;Some experience with multiple database types:Relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL)LLM frameworksDocument (MongoDB)Vector DBs (examples: Pinecone, Milvus, Weaviate, Qdrant, Chroma, FAISS (Meta), Vespa, pgvector)Graph DBsSearch engines (Elasticsearch)In-memory (Redis)Time-seriesLedger databasesPractical knowledge of:Database optimization techniquesSharding and partitioningViews and triggersBackup/restore proceduresETL processesExperience with microservices architecture;Fluency in both written and spoken English;Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure);Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes;Familiarity with data lakes;Experience with monitoring tools;CI/CD pipeline expertise.Our recruitment process: CV screening (ASAP)Recruiter interview (60 min)Tech Challenge (from home, 5-day deadline)Tech Interview w/ our CTO (60 min)Final interview w/ our CEO (~60min)We will go through the process as quickly as possible and we'll keep you up-to-date along the way.
