Description of the research activities:
Multistep organic synthesis, spectroscopic analysis, cellular imaging using fluorescence microscopy.
Related activities:
Participation in the communal life of the laboratory, presentations, reports, assistance with drafting publications.
Required skills: Multistep organic synthesis, usual characterizations (1H and 13C NMR, mass spectrometry) required for publishing in peer-reviewed journals.

Environment and context of work:
The research unit is located within the Faculty of Pharmacy on the Illkirch campus near Strasbourg. The CNRS research unit UMR7199 Synthetic and Therapeutic Chemo-Biology (CBST) comprises four complementary research teams specializing in chemical biology and its research tools. The unit is fully equipped to carry out this project and benefits from a suitable environment thanks to the on-site presence of analysis platforms (400 and 500 MHz NMR, mass spectrometry, etc.), spectroscopy (spectrophotometer, fluorimeter, laser spectroscopy, etc.), and imaging (confocal microscopy, super-resolution, etc.). The host team is the "Chemistry of Photoresponsive Systems" team, led by Dr. Mayeul Collot (CNRS Research Director).
Hierarchical relationship:
The candidate will be supervised by the head of the "Chemistry of Photoresponsive Systems" team and will be expected to supervise Master's and/or Ph.D. students.
