We're looking for a Database Administrator with 5+ years of experience supporting mission-critical environments on these technologies.
The successful candidate needs to have a good knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows OS and must be available to work in a team, in hybrid mode, and be on call (approx. one week per month). Upper intermediate level (B2) of written and spoken English is a must.
As part of the Team, you will be responsible for supporting the database layer of several services on different technologies, participating in international projects, and having a chance to influence current and future technology choices.
Requirements Mandatory:
PostgreSQL/EDB
MS SQL Server
Knowledge of some of these scripting languages: PSQL, TSQL, shell scripting, Perl, PowerShell, Python
Preferred:
AWS RDS
AWS Redshift
Optional:
Oracle
MySQL & MySQL cluster
The ideal candidate has:
Master's degree in Information Technology / Maths / Physics / Statistics / Engineering or equivalent working experience.
Strong persuading and influencing skills.
Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate effectively at both business and technical levels.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
The ability to liaise with different levels of staff within the organization.
Good team player.
Must be motivated to progress in the role.
Self-starter with the ability to plan and manage work according to deadlines.
Pragmatic approach.
Willingness to share experience/knowledge.
