.Social network you want to login/join with:Senior Specialist, R&D ProcurementClient:OrganonLocation:PortugalJob Category:OtherEU work permit required:YesJob Reference:346b82eaff9cJob Views:26Posted:03.03.2025Expiry Date:17.04.2025Job Description:The PositionThis position will be responsible for working alongside the Director/Team Leader of R&D Procurement & Supplier Management in developing and executing a multi-year sourcing strategy that expands the capability and flexibility of working with external partners across the R&D organization at Organon.This position will be responsible for managing activities in support of our current (and future) outsourced scope of work.Responsibilities will include managing processes, systems, and connections between an external partner and the various stakeholders within Organon R&D including Nonclinical/Early & Late Clinical/Outcomes Research (OR) functional teams and Global Procurement to ensure that we are efficiently and effectively delivering high quality research activities on time globally.The incumbent is expected to have a working knowledge of and skills in one or multiple functions such as clinical trial operations, outcomes research, outsourcing, and project/program management.Responsibilities:Support the onboarding of vendor resources and facilitate the vendor's ability to execute on sourced scope of work.Manage assigned translational medicine/nonclinical, clinical operations, pre-clinical, and outcomes research outsourced activities efficiently and on-time.Identify and escalate issues related to the delivery of high-quality, on-time materials and/or services.Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to ensure best possible delivery of sourced submission work through clearly defined objectives and actively managing and tracking overall performance (via metrics) of assigned vendors.Actively collaborate with assigned vendor(s) to assure new capabilities and services are developed and existing capabilities and processes are assessed and improved (on an ongoing basis).Support annual business planning and the analysis and proposal of the annual financial plan related to external partner expenditures.Required Education, Experience and Skills:Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in pharmaceutical research and development.Experience working in a drug development outsourced model, either on the outsourcer or client side with an ability to translate learnings to clinical and medical affairs outsourcing model.Basic experience with leading successful delivery of projects (pipeline, business improvement, and/or change management projects).Knowledge of clinical operations and study management, medical affairs operations and/or outcomes research studies for pharmaceutical products, vaccines, and/or biologic products.Good negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively in matrix organizational structures
