Power Solutions & Vestas Quality > Aerodynamic & Mechanical > Tower Structure Tower Module is a department part of Vestas responsible for the research, design, and development of the wind turbines' tower products. Through innovation, development, and continuous product improvements, we continuously develop our products and technologies to reduce costs and ensure the integration of renewable energy.Your tasks will involve dynamic analyses, requirement management, design risk assessment and creation of certification documentation for the towers. Your team will consist of highly skilled engineers from diverse cultural backgrounds who work together to deliver towers to our customers. Responsibilities Deliver complex FEA projects and build robust Tower Design Verification methods compatible with perpetual design requirement changes Review Design Verification reports and ensure that the qualifications match the latest standards Maintain Tower FEA & Design Tool assets. Verify that the tools are up to date and continuously improve according to the needs of peers Identify the new opportunities and govern the development of your functional area Build technology roadmaps and strategic plans to advance for the future Create, monitor and maintain the processes Lead a team of FE Engineers, provide mentoring on FEA projects, identify skill gaps and build learning plans Qualifications Minimum 7 years of FEA experience in Renewables, Automotive or Aerospace industry Advanced level of proficiency in nonlinear mechanics, buckling, fatigue and other design failure mechanisms Minimum 3 years of experience with Ansys APDL/WB, parametric modelling, and scripting Intermediate level of programming and automation, preferably with Python Solid experience with Eurocode Design Standards Fluentin English (written and spoken) Solution-oriented critical thinking: Inquisitive mind to understand the structural systems, ability to analyze critical points and build optimal solutions by paying attention to quality and performance Leadership and Decision-Making: Being able to take initiative and make decisions by analyzing available facts, set priorities and goals strategically Collaboration: Be collaborative with both internal and external stakeholders and ensure effective communication and teamwork environment Development and Mentoring: Promote a culture of continuous improvement, identify opportunities to enhance innovation and efficiency in FEA methodologies Willing to learn, teach and guide your peers in your functional area What We Offer We offer you an exciting and innovative job with excellent professional and personal development opportunities in a highly professional and international work environment at a global manufacturer of wind turbines
