Exciting opportunity for an experienced Marine Superintendent to work for a Cruise Ship Owner, who are managing their own vessels.
This position is based in Madeira, and is not offered remotely. All applicants must have the Right to work and live in the EU. No sponsorship will be offered as part of this position.

The Marine Superintendent will oversee marine operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards. This role requires knowledge of marine engineering, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with international, national, and company regulations.
Monitor and manage operational performance of vessels.
Conduct vessel inspections and audits.
Coordinate with ship captains and crew.
Implement and oversee safety management systems.
Develop emergency response plans.
Liaise with port authorities and regulatory bodies.
Manage budgets for marine operations and maintenance.
Provide technical support to the fleet.
Lead investigations into incidents or accidents.
Requirements:
Experience in a similar shore-based supervisory role in the cruise industry.
Knowledge of SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, and maritime regulations.
Proficiency in marine management software and MS Office.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Dynamic with ability to think on your feet.
Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
Effective communication skills.
Willingness to travel.
Preferred Skills:
Sea-going Deck Officer experience.
