The Football Business Academy is the global leader in football business education. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, our mission is to accelerate the professionalization of the football industry. We do that by enhancing the skills of current and aspiring football industry professionals through various educational programs.
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Community Manager to join our team in Lisbon, Portugal. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in growing and interacting with our community, enhancing engagement, and promoting our brand through compelling content across various digital channels.
As The FBA's Community Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing communication strategies that promote the company's mission, enhance its visibility, and build its reputation. You will report directly to the Admissions & Marketing Director, ensuring close alignment with the company's sales objectives.
What you will be doing: Content creation and managementDevelop content calendars to ensure consistent and strategic content delivery across platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube and TikTokDesign, produce and post visually appealing images and videos (Feed, Reels, Stories) that resonate with our football enthusiast communityWrite engaging, informative and entertaining copy for social media posts (Organic & Paid), newsletters, press releases, blogs, promotional materials, and other communication channels (External & Internal)Manage the company's website (non-technical side), ensuring content is up-to-date and engagingSupport other departments by creating and designing presentations, emails, certificates, announcements, etc.Foster a vibrant community by actively engaging with followers through comments, messages, and live sessionsOrganize and manage online events, webinars, and interactive sessions to increase community interactionMonitor, analyze, and report on community feedback to adapt strategies and content for better engagementBrand managementServe as the brand voice, ensuring all communications activities and materials align with The FBA's values, brand identity, and messagingCollaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns that increase brand awareness and participant enrolmentCollaborate with other departments to ensure communication efforts support the company's broader goals and needsManage media relations and mentions, and coordinate with FBA stakeholders on press releases, interviews, panels, podcasts, articles or other PR activitiesAnalytics and strategyUtilize analytics tools to track performance of content and campaigns, adjusting strategies based on data-driven insights combined with common senseEnsure communication efforts are aligned with the company's sales objectivesStay updated with the latest trends in community management and social media to adjust content strategies accordingly.What you need to be great in this role: Proven experience (min. 2-3 years) in community management or social media role, preferably in football or education sectorsGood knowledge of and interest in the global football industryDemonstrated success in creating engaging content (portfolio required)Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva, as well as video editing softwareStrong English writing and storytelling skills with a knack for crafting messages that resonate across diverse audiencesStrong attention to detailFamiliarity with social media analytics tools like Google Analytics, Hootsuite, or similar platformsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you'll interact a lot with our students from all over the worldReport to a manager who is not based in Lisbon, maintaining clear and proactive communication to align with company objectivesFluency in English; other languages are desirableProactive mindset and ability to work both collaboratively and independentlyBased in Lisbon with the legal right to work in PortugalWhat we offer: The opportunity to work in the exciting intersection of football, business and educationA dynamic, fun, and international working environment with global reach and impactGross annual salary of €24,000 (14 months) + meal allowanceInternational travel opportunities for Field Trips, Networking Weeks, and other relevant events or activitiesHow to apply: Please submit your application by email only to the hiring manager ****** (subject line: CM Application FBA)Include your updated CV, a personal motivation letter explaining your interest in the role and The FBA, and a portfolio showcasing your best work in content creation (images + videos)We look forward to you joining our team and helping us build the future of Football together
