The company offers goods across a broad range of categories, such as phones and electronics, home appliances, fast-moving consumer goods, fashion and beauty.The FP&A Manager will play a crucial role in the financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions within the company. This position is responsible for providing financial insights and projections, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and driving strategic business decisions. The FP&A Manager will work closely with senior management to support the company's financial goals and objectives.What you will be doingFinancial Planning and Analysis:Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to forecast company performance.Conduct variance analysis of financial results against budget, forecast, and prior periods.Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.Budgeting and Forecasting:Lead the annual budgeting process, working with department heads to ensure alignment with company objectives.Prepare and update quarterly and annual financial forecasts.Monitor financial performance and provide updates to senior management.Reporting:Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Develop and maintain dashboards and other reporting tools to track key financial metrics.Strategic Planning:Support the development and execution of the company's strategic plan.Conduct financial analysis for new business opportunities, investments, and other strategic initiatives.Provide recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiencies.Process Improvement:Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning and analysis activities.Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and best practices.What we are looking forStrong background in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant master's degree is also highly valued.Ideally, over 5 years of progressive experience in Finance, with a strong exposure to the Audit area.Advanced proficiency in Excel.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to present complex financial information to non-financial audiences.Ability to see the big picture and translate financial data into business strategy.Flexible and adaptable to changing business environments and priorities.Self-starter with the ability to work independently and proactively identify areas for improvement.Strong understanding of business operations and industry trends.Skilled in building relationships and influencing decision-makers across the organization.High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information.Industry Knowledge:Familiarity with industry-specific financial regulations and reporting standards.Understanding of current market trends and their potential impact on financial planning.You will be able to drive financial planning initiatives, provide insightful analysis, and effectively communicate financial concepts to support informed business decisions across the organizationWe Offer:A unique experience in an entrepreneurial, yet structured environment.A unique opportunity of having strong impact in building the African e-commerce sector.The opportunity to become part of a highly professional and dynamic team.An unparalleled personal and professional growth as our longer term objective is to train the next generation of leaders.Please ensure to only apply for jobs with Jumia through our official website.Jumia will never charge you a fee to apply for a job: be wary of websites that claim to help you apply for a Jumia job or that charge a fee to get you a job.
