By partnering with the CTO, you will be driving the technical direction, developing and growing a team and Engineers fostering a collaborative fast paced environment.The opportunity is an exciting one. You will be playing an integral part in building the Engineering foundations in a successful early stage start up. Every new feature idea will run through you and every future Frontend hire will live and breathe the engineering values that you instill on the team.Initially, the role will be 90% IC and 10% management, however our client is anticipating the management piece will grow to over 40% within the first 6-12 months, with potential upside as they scale.About youYou have a proven track record of managing front-end teams.You have an owner mindset, iterating and taking pride in owning customer-facing features from ideas to going live fast.You thrive in the startup world.You're passionate about sharing knowledge and championing new technologies.Role responsibilitiesYou'll be the go-to person for all things 'Front End,' taking full ownership and collaborating with the CTO to set technical direction. Working closely with product and design teams, you'll shape and design features for both new and existing products.Your main responsibilities on the individual contributor side will include designing, developing, and maintaining user-facing features using Angular and TypeScript, with a focus on creating visually stunning and scalable UI components. Additionally, you'll improve the frontend architecture, prioritising pragmatic solutions suited to our current development stage.On the management side, you'll spearhead hiring - working with our Head of People to scale a first-class engineering team. You'll develop the existing team, conducting 1:1s, providing mentorship, and enabling a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
