In your role as a materials tester for non-destructive testing in the field, you will work with international field service teams, on-site at our customers' power plants and at our service locations worldwide.As member of our maintenance team, you will apply suitable NDT techniques, to detect material defects in the highly stressed components that may have an impact on the service life of the components or also on component safety. You document the test results and coordinate the evaluation with your colleagues (f/m/d) in the specialist department / engineering.How You'll Make an Impact You will be responsible for the preparation, execution, and follow-up of non-destructive tests on turbine and generator components in power plants (worldwide)Integrated into international project teams, you will execute non-destructive tests and document the results.You will collaborate and coordinate with subcontractors as well as with customer representatives.What You Bring Knowledge of NDT testing methods (e.g., VT / PT /MT /ET / UT / RT or RT film evaluation), certification according to ISO 9712, level 2 preferredTechnical training in the field of electrical engineering/metals (e.g., as a materials tester) or a comparable qualificationExtensive practical experience as NDT inspector as plusHigh degree of flexibility for changes in planning at short noticeAbility and willingness to travel worldwide.You are fluent in English (written and spoken) and can adapt to foreign cultures.Basic skills in the handling of modern communication technology and knowledge in MS officeAbout the team We are a DIN EN ISO 17025 accredited NDT testing laboratory mainly located in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany.
