.Join our company as a Senior BI Developer, where you'll drive data-driven decision-making and lead the migration from Snowflake/Tableau to Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery/Looker).
You will play a pivotal role in developing the "Gold" layer of our Medallion data architecture and creating BI self-serve tools while mentoring junior team members.
This role is ideal for a seasoned Looker expert eager to make a significant impact in a dynamic, data-driven retail environment.It is a long term B2B contract with a 100% remote setupKey ResponsibilitiesBI Development & Looker Expertise: Enhance our "Gold" data layer using BigQuery and Looker; design, develop, and maintain intuitive BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations.Stakeholder Collaboration: Gather business requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions, ensuring data quality and actionable insights.Team Leadership & Training: Set best practices, coach junior team members, and provide end-user training and support.Data Integrity & Process Improvement: Perform rigorous data quality checks, troubleshoot issues, and continuously refine BI processes to meet evolving business needs.AccountabilitiesTimely, accurate delivery of BI solutions that drive business decisions.Maintaining a robust, high-quality "Gold" data layer.Upholding data quality, privacy, and security standards.Enhancing the overall data-driven culture across the organization.Essential Skills & ExperienceAdvanced proficiency in Looker (including LookML, models, explores, dashboards, and PDTs).Strong experience with BigQuery, SQL, and data modeling.Minimum of 5 years in BI development, ideally within the retail sector.Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.Preferred Skills & ExperienceExpertise in the Google Cloud Stack (BigQuery, Dataform) and CI/CD processes via GitHub.Experience with large-scale data migrations and retail-specific data systems (e.G., POS, inventory, CRM).Knowledge of "Hub and Spoke" architecture, refined views, and DRY coding best practices.Familiarity with other BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and advanced analytics techniques (predictive modeling, machine learning).Who We Are?We are a fast growing business and technology consultant company co-founded in 2019.
