Devexperts works with respected financial institutions, delivering products and tailor-made solutions for retail and brokerage houses, exchanges, and buy-side firms. The company focuses on trading platforms and brokerage automation, complex software development projects, market data products, and IT consulting services.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Java Backend Developer to join the Research & Development Team.
Our current project involves developing one of the leading trading platforms in the USA, serving a user base of over 200,000 online users daily across desktops, mobile devices, and the web.
The responsibilities of the platform's backend services include handling all business processes related to trading, such as order issuance, validation, routing, execution, option price calculation, and reconciliation. We prioritize high performance, low latency, and fault tolerance in our day-to-day tasks. We ensure code quality by performing careful code reviews and various types of testing.
Our teams operate in a Scrum/Kanban environment supported by the Atlassian suite, Slack, TeamCity, Sonar, Docker, and other tools.
The teams are multicultural and distributed, typically consisting of 3-7 backend engineers, along with QAs, FEs, BAs, and others.

Major parts of our stack: Java 11+, Collections, Streams, Threads, Concurrency, Azul JVMSpring, JUnit5, AssertJ, MockitoQualificationsWe expect the Java Backend Developer to have: Passion for coding in JavaExposure to the Java (J2SE) platform, understanding what's happening under the hood: threads, collections, streams, memory, garbage collectorFoundation in computer science data structures, algorithms, and their complexitiesDesire to optimize, document, and maintain code and also carefully cover it with testsWillingness and energy to take your ideas all the way from proof of concept to production-proof codeGeneral responsibility and result-oriented mindsetDesire to achieve goals as a team, willingness to help colleagues, and ability to provide/accept constructive feedbackB1+ English to be able to communicate with multicultural teams and a US customer Nice-to-have: Trading and capital markets backgroundHands-on experience in concurrent programming and understanding of thread synchronization approachesExposure to distributed systems, following strong performance and reliability requirementsFoundation in asynchronous communicationsAdditional InformationDevexperts employees create the art of FinTech in comfortable working spaces located in modern business centers around the world.
