The Work You'll Do: The Compliance Services Associate is responsible for accurately validating client data and preparing filings for review while ensuring that all internal and statutory deadlines are met for their assigned portfolio of clients.
This role is expected to acquire a good understanding of their portfolio of clients, deliver an outstanding customer service experience to clients, and proactively escalate any issues or delays to Client Services Representatives and Senior Representatives.
This role is also expected to efficiently collaborate with other departments and work closely with other team members to resolve more complex tax issues such as reclaims or historical submissions and other ad-hoc client requests.
More specifically: Validating client data using in-house software and confirming tax amounts due to your clients with the support of Client Services Representatives & Senior RepresentativesCreating accurate tax returns and associated supporting documentation for your clientsEnsuring all data is accurate and returns submitted within strict deadlinesInteract directly with Sovos clients on a regular basis as part of service delivery and issue resolution and nurturing a close working relationship with all clientsIdentify, prioritize, and resolve client issues; coordinate appropriate internal departments to provide timely response and solutions with the support and approval of Compliance Services Representative, Supervisor or ManagerEfficiently collaborate with other specialist departments as needed to ensure all deadlines are being metAttending client meetings as and when appropriateMaintain goals and key measures to ensure progress and alignment with desired business outcomes for clientsEnsures internal policies and procedures are adhered to based on established guidelinesWhat We Need From You: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience preferred1+ years of client service-related work experience preferredAble to demonstrate excellent customer service skills and a confident telephone mannerExcellent time management, decision making, and organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal and professional communication skillsAbility to work as a member of a team and cross-functionallyDetail oriented and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environmentEssential Job Functions:Interact effectively with teammates, colleagues and customersComprehend and communicate complex conceptsConcentrate, analyze and resolve complex problemsUtilize technology (e.g.
