Currently, we are looking for an MSL with General Medicine experience and based in Lisbon. This is a temporary position.
Medical Science Liaison - General Medicine LIVE What you will do The Medical Science Liaison plays an integral role in communicating accurate, clear and valued information regarding Amgen science and products to multiple levels within the medical community and are responsible for providing field observations to internal collaborators. Your key responsibilities will be:
Engage with healthcare stakeholders to educate and communicate clinical and scientific data to advance the scientific platform as aligned with Amgen's corporate goals and objectivesEducate and communicate clinical value, outcomes and economic data to payers, providers, key stakeholders, advocacy and access enablersRespond to unsolicited inquiries consistent with the MSL compliance standardsProvide and/or present field observations and insights to internal stakeholdersSupport speaker training as requested and ensure the speakers are updated on new dataSupport Amgen sponsored research and activity related with site selection and start-up activitiesLiaise with potential investigators in non-sponsored clinical researchAdvance MSL value proposition, identify gaps, achieve results and set an example for others to follow by consistently demonstrating Amgen values and leadership attributesDemonstrate tact and professionalism when communicating and interacting with othersLead and support congress activities as aligned with strategyCompliantly collaborate with cross-functional colleagues. Qualifications:
Medical or scientific education or experience from similar positionsAdvanced degree (e.g. PhD, MD) preferred or strong demonstration of equivalent combination of relevant educational and professional trainingExperience:
Minimum 1 to 3 years of solid experience in pharmaceutical /biotech industry is requiredExperience in affiliate Medical Department or Clinical DevelopmentExperience in Cardiology and/or RheumatologyExperience with clinical study management and conductMedical / scientific research experienceNetwork of customer contactsWillingness to travel; possesses valid driver's license Knowledge:
Scientific expertise in the therapeutic area, related products, disease state, and interested in latest discoveriesKnowledge of value messages, clinical outcomes and patient benefits for the productsHas solid understanding of their country's local health care system and decision-making, stays on top of changesDemonstrates strong project management and presentation skillsKnowledge of commercialization and business practicesGood knowledge of clinical research, drug safety, legal and compliance environmentWillingness to continuously expand medical, scientific, market, and industry knowledgeTHRIVE What you can expect of us As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, so we work to care for our teammates' professional and personal growth and well-being.
