And get differentiated products to market with reduced risk.The ASIC Digital Implementation team in Porto, Portugal, is looking for a ASIC Physical Design Engineer, who develops of high quality, leading edge, semiconductor IP and Test Chips. An important part of the role is to give proper feedback to architecture and digital/analog design, teams about floorplan, power plan and timing constraints and closure, to ensure clean physical verification, track and ensure on-time incoming and outgoing deliveries. This role requires collaboration with several teams located in many Synopsys offices, give clear and concise management reporting .ResponsibilitiesWork in all place and route flow stages: Synthesis, Floorplan, Power Plan, Placement, CTS, Routing, STA and Physical VerificationTrack and ensure on-time incoming and outgoing deliveries, and report on project progressWork with senior team membersGive technical feedback to design teams and management team.Key QualificationsA relevant degree in electrical engineering or computer scienceSmall or no experience in ASIC physical implementation and place and route flows.Scripting and programing skills: TCL, Unix Shell, PythonVerbal and written fluency in English.Good communication, self-learning and good self-planning skillsWillingness to learn new thingsCapability to work as a team member and promote excellent working relationshipsPreferred ExperienceProficiency in C++Practical experience with Synopsys PnR tool set: Design Compiler, IC Compiler(2), Prime Time, IC ValidatorWe offer:Interesting work in international teamSalary is based on experience, professional background, interview/test resultsFlexible work scheduleSocial package (bonus program, major medical insurance for employee and optionally for family members, corporate events, etc.)At Synopsys, we're at the heart of the innovations that change the way we work and play.
