We are looking for a Java Software Engineer to join the Development and Design Team. This position will be based in Porto, and you will report to the Head of Development, Issuances, Custody & Data. You will primarily be responsible for: Development and Design:Implement the most complex components of new functionalities, focusing on performance-critical subsystems.Leverage Java, Microservices, and Kafka to design scalable and efficient systems.System Optimization:Work with cross-functional teams to design and refine overall trading system architecture.Utilize cutting-edge technologies such as React, Cloud, Docker, and Big Data to build robust solutions.Documentation and Collaboration:Produce clear and accurate documentation for implemented code and design specifications.Contribute to projects addressing challenging and innovative functionalities in trading systems.Your profile: Technical skills:Proficiency in Java, Microservices, and Kafka.Additional expertise in C#, Python, and Linux is advantageous.Experience with modern tools such as React, Node.js, Scala, Machine Learning, Big Data, and Containers.Strong problem-solving abilities with a collaborative and adaptable mindset.Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Qualifications:Relevant technical degree or equivalent experience.Proven experience in software design and development.Working with us means: A vibrant international and diverse team where you'll collaborate with a network of 2,200+ talents across Europe, USA and Asia.A collaborative and inclusive work environment that fosters professional growth with flexible career paths, learning and development opportunities.An agile, innovative and dynamic company where you can make an impact.Wellbeing programme, equal opportunities, work environment open to diversity in all its forms.Apply by submitting a CV in English.
