The Role: The Insurance Administrator Team Leader is responsible for recruitment, training and coaching the team and support the staff in their personal development and career planning ensuring the recognition of good performance.
Owner of the Quality standards of Hiscox.
Act as point of reference for technical and procedural best practice operational knowledge for other team members.
Accountable for the Insurance Administration and processes and for maintaining the process procedures up to date and available to staff.
Actively contribute to seeking the business objectives.
Key Responsibilities: Manage daily performance of the team and be available and visible to staff in the workplace.
Be the point of reference for technical and procedural best practice operational knowledge.
Manage the relations with key stakeholders (internal and external to Hiscox) and the team and ensure that communication flows in a transparent way.
Be a point of escalation for Client/Broker other Stakeholders complaints.
Coordination with the sales teams regarding incoming volumes and other common topics.
Accountable for the Policy administration and for keeping the procedures up to date and available to staff.
Actively contribute to pursuance of business objectives.
Recruitment and selection of team members.
Execute other assigned tasks in a qualified and timely manner.
Create a culture of customer centric mind-set on the team.
Share the company vision and team mission and support its application on the day to day.
Responsible for training and coaching the team and support the staff in their personal development and career planning ensuring the recognition of good performance.
Assist the Manager and management chain in decisions and team mission execution by providing data and/or support when needed.
Plan and execute Team members yearly evaluation as per Manager's and Hiscox directives and instructions.
Escalate issues/topics to Service Operations Manager when appropriate and after risk analysis.
Person Specification: Baccalaureate qualification.
Native French and proficient in English.
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a member of various teams.
Experience in team leadership (and leads by example).
Curious, willing to learn and showing a challenging conventions spirit.
Be open to change and seek to foster a change mind-set in the Team.
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail and Quality to produce high quality output even when dealing with high volume and under time pressure.
Multi-task ability.
Ability to organise and prioritise and plan workload to meet deadlines.
Raises and follows-up on difficult issues to ensure that they are addressed.
Good Customer Focus.
Ideally have Evidence of an interest in a career in administration, insurance or shared services is required.
Good computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and Excel skills.
Training to develop your IT skills can be provided.
