Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Biocatalysis Scientist to join our Technology Transfer Center team in Biocant Park, Cantanhede, Portugal. This position is full-time employment, ideally suited for someone who wants to work in a fast-growing international biotech company and an exceptionally dynamic and interdisciplinary team that may include shift work.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Support technology transfer of enzymatic reactions from bench scale to pilot scale and then to industrial scale.
Conduct feasibility studies on a pilot scale for biocatalytic reactions by using carbohydrate processing enzymes.
Carry out enzymatic processes characterization and validation.
Define SOP or Master Technique for the developed processes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Degree in Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, Biochemistry or similar.
Experience applying carbohydrate active enzymes in biocatalytic synthesis is essential.
Experience in enzymatic reactions optimization.
Experience in industrial biotechnology and food ingredients production is a plus.
Fluent in English and ability to work in an international and dynamic team.
