Squarespace is looking for an iOS Software Engineer to join our small, distributed mobile engineering team and work on Bio Sites, in an app with millions of active users around the globe.Bio Sites is Squarespace's link in biography product that enables creators, entrepreneurs, and businesses to share their entire worlds in just one link.As more brands begin on social media, a Bio Site is a lightweight way for our customers to connect their followers to their company, grow their brand, and monetize their work.Our mobile team collaborates across platforms and delivers a terrific experience for Squarespace users when they're away from the desktop.You will work on the end-to-end development of an iOS application and the long-term vision of Squarespace on mobile devices.You will report to the Engineering Manager and be based in Aveiro, Portugal, with 3 flexible days per week spent in office.You will be part of Squarespace's initial team in the country, and help grow our Portugal presence into a market reference.You'll Get To… Translate requirements into well-engineered solutions including: new feature development, UI creation, debugging, and data modelingWork with a team of distributed engineers including our server-side engineering teamWork with team members representing product, design, web development, and product marketingDevelop applications with awareness of multiple software and hardware versionsProvide documentation of bug fixes during test cycleInspire and mentor software engineers with different levels of experience.Who We're Looking For 2+ years of experience with Swift and creating native iOS apps, with apps in the store to showUnderstand iOS UI/UX best practices, and a bias toward beautiful user experience and pixel perfect UIsUnderstand tradeoffs of different architectures such as MVP and MVVMExperience writing efficient and maintainable codeExperience with memory management, network programming, concurrency and multi-threadingBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.Benefits & Perks Health insurance with 100% covered premiums for you and your dependent childrenRetirement benefits with employer matchFertility and adoption benefitsHeadspace mindfulness app subscriptionStatutory paid time off and all statutory leaves, as requiredEquity in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSU's) for all full-time employeesFlex Benefits AccountEmployee donation match to community organisationsFree snacksIn the easily accessible city centre of Aveiro6 Global Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
