Summary
The Operations Manager will be responsible for leading and driving IT operations, including infrastructure and user services. They are currently moving many services to the cloud, therefore, it's important to have extensive experience with the public cloud, infrastructure, migrations, etc.
This role involves strategic vision and roadmap planning for IT operations , aligning them with the overall business strategy. The position also includes overseeing IT operations and service management across a global footprint, covering regions such as North America, Europe, South America, and Asia. You'll report to the VP of IT and have 8 direct reports under you.
Responsibilities
Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the IT operations team, providing guidance, feedback, and training, and fostering a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
IT Operations Vision and Policies: Develop and maintain IT services and practices to manage, control, and secure IT operations. Create roadmap plans for the maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of business systems. Evaluate risks and develop resilience, recovery, backup, and disaster recovery processes.
Operational Direction: Oversee the delivery of an infrastructure-managed service, assess system performance, recommend and implement improvements, and manage installations, upgrades, and configurations of hardware and software. Implement security measures for service systems and end-user devices in collaboration with the Information Security Officer. Manage relevant IT budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness.
External Services and Vendor Management: Assess and purchase services, hardware, and licenses. Optimize and manage contracts with vendors and service providers. Oversee service level agreements, key performance indicators, and metrics.
User Service Management: Ensure IT services meet agreed standards, establish and monitor internal service level agreements, and manage the performance and quality of IT services. Act as Microsoft 365 expert and designated administrator, providing support and resolving IT service delivery issues.
Best Practices and Compliance: Ensure IT activities align with good practices and regulations. Stay updated with IT trends, developments, and best practices. Ensure data is handled securely and legally.

Driving Results: Consistently drive results and hold oneself accountable for IT service and team performance. Strong problem-solving skills to address daily IT service challenges.
Building Effective Teams: Bring together globally located service analysts and technical managers to operate as one team.
Decision Making: Authority on IT operations and primary decision-maker on operational strategy, operating model, and practice. Autonomy to manage the IT operations budget, including approving purchase orders.
Requirements
Extensive experience (8+ years) in a similar managerial position with demonstrable experience in IT service management (ServiceNow or else) and infrastructure (Microsoft)
Experience with IT system installation, configuration, and analysis. Knowledge of security and data protection operations and legislation.
Leadership expertise in change management, business continuity planning, and disaster recovery.
Commercial expertise in supplier management and optimization of contractual partners and licensing.
Fluency in English.
