Shoe Designer

.We are looking for a freelance Fashion Designer who can work across both menswear and womenswear, and who has experience with athletic clothing. If you enjoy working in a creative, fast-paced environment, then we would love to hear from you We are a premium yacht wear brand that is focused on excellent quality garments, which perform like sportswear but are suited to be worn in some of the most exclusive places in the world. We design and produce all samples in Portugal. We are offering a position for an experienced Designer to work with us on a project basis on developing new products for our range. You will be working closely with our Founder, the Creative Director and Design team to create capsule collections. You will have the opportunity to design and create a wide range of garments including woven separates, jersey, swimwear, accessories and outerwear. We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and team-oriented individual with a strong design sense, new technology awareness, and industry knowledge.\ Design ? Working on the CrewReady collection - looking at the overview relating to price points, design attraction and production feasibility ? Design detailing the specific product design ? Drawing up sketches / freehand illustrations of designs ? Transferring the brand identity into garment details such as trims and packaging ? Researching trends and forecasting for design options to develop ? Develop flat sketches and detailed tech packs. ? CAD up approved sketches in Illustrator. ? Communicate clearly and regularly with team members ? Support sample teams by ensuring they have all information needed to develop products. ? Ensure efficient and detailed feedback on all samples ? Produce clear product specifications from illustrations\ Development ? Measure and fit all samples with the sample/development team ? Manage and investigate any product faults and identify issues to add to Product and Factory Guidelines\ Research ? Research industry, fabric, technique, trim and technology trends ? Sustainability & eco products, new technology and developments ? Travel to factories as required\ Qualifications ? 5+ years ofrelated experience with excellent technical knowledge ? Speaks Portuguese and English ? Strong with colour, fabric, and garment construction ? Excellent in communication, organisation, and time management skills ? Proactive, professional, flexible and able to multitask ? Strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop and basic Google workspace. Please send over your CV and a sample of your portfolio.
