We are searching for a Lead Technical Artist who is enthusiastic about pushing boundaries and perfecting game visuals and performance.
Role Overview:As a Lead Technical Artist, you will bridge the gap between art and programming, ensuring that art assets can be easily integrated into a game without sacrificing either aesthetic quality or technical performance. This position is crucial for optimizing game assets and streamlining workflows to enhance the visual fidelity and efficiency of our upcoming projects.
Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement tools and systems to maximize art production efficiency and asset quality.
Collaborate closely with art and programming teams to optimize game assets for performance across multiple platforms.
Establish pipelines and protocols for art asset integration, ensuring that they meet technical requirements and standards.
Provide technical support and training to artists and other team members to improve project workflows.
Troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues related to art assets.
Maintain a high standard of quality for shaders, textures, and lighting within the game engine.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and integrate this knowledge into team practices.
Ideal Candidate:Degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in technical art within the gaming industry.
Expert knowledge of Unreal Engine, including proficiency with Blueprints and visual scripting.
Strong background in programming languages such as Python, C++, or HLSL.
Proven ability to develop custom tools and systems to enhance art production.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of leading a team and working effectively across departments.
A passion for video games and a commitment to technological excellence.
