About the jobBNP Paribas' Global Markets business offers a broad range of products and services in the global interest rates, credit, currency, equities & commodity markets.Global Markets help their franchise of clients find effective ways to raise and invest capital as well as manage their exposure to risk.Their client base comprises of hundreds of corporations, institutional investors, banks, governments and supranational organizationsGlobal Markets has the scale and reach to conduct business anywhere in the world and deliver products denominated in almost all of the world's currencies.Their global network comprises more than 1,700 professionals working on our six main trading floors in London, Hong Kong, New York, Paris, Singapore and Tokyo.They are supported by regional offices throughout Europe, the Americas, Middle East and Asia-PacificYour Main Activities AreThe role of the Senior Transversal Business Manager is to support the Manager of COO, CCCO, T2RS, Business Development (Transversal Area) to Build the strategic planning process for Global Markets Transversal teams, including its mission, communication, HR topics among other initiativesAssist in transversal requests (IG, Risk, audits) coming from the Head of GMFO PortugalDesign and control action plans following team barometer results or any transversal initiativeDefine and help prepare Management meetings, including minutes and actions follow upControl and follow up on any transversal initiatives, such as Monthly Forum preparation Define, structure and lead projects of strategic relevance to the transversal areaProfile and Skills to SuccessMasters Degree in Business, Finance, EngineeringMinimum work experience of 10 years in Banking, Consulting, Finance or Business ManagementBasic knowledge of the Global Markets product set, business models, revenue and costs drivers, competitive environment and industry trends and genuine appetite to develop this expertiseIntellectual horsepower to make a major strategic contribution to the future of BNP Paribas' GM businessConsulting skills, including ability to structure problems into work packagesAnalytical skills including the ability to dig and understand complex situationsIntellectual rigor, including with numbersComfortable in directly engaging with Senior ManagementCommunication skills (oral and writing)Agility and adaptability in a highly demanding environmentBe a role model, supporting and fostering a culture of good conductDemonstrate proactivity, transparency and accountability for identifying and managing conduct risksConsider the implications of your actions on colleagues, partners and clients before making decisions, and escalate issues to your manager when unsureLI-HybridWhy joining BNP Paribas?Leading banking institutionBNP Paribas is a leader in the Eurozone, and a prominent international banking institution with strong roots in Europe's banking history.It has a presence in 65 countries, with around 190 000 Employees including more than 145 000 in Europe.Our presence in PortugalSince 1985, BNP Paribas was one of the first foreign banks to operate in the country.
