Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst & Quality Assurance Intern to support our operations.
This internship offers the opportunity to engage in a variety of tasks including system checks, dashboard creation, process automation, code enhancement, data engineering, and comprehensive documentation.
You will play a key role in ensuring the seamless operation of our systems within a real-world trading environment.
Key Responsibilities: System Checks & Monitoring: Perform regular checks to ensure all systems and processes function correctly.
Dashboard Creation: Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using data from our databases to provide insights and support decision-making.
Process Automation: Identify repetitive tasks and implement automation solutions to improve efficiency.
Code Enhancement: Assist in writing, testing, and improving code to support various operational functions.
Data Engineering: Work with databases to extract, transform, and analyse data as needed for different projects.
Documentation: Develop and maintain procedures and ensure the company's knowledge base is up to date.
Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and maintain smooth operations.
Preferred Requirements: Education : Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
Programming Skills: A strong command of Python is required; familiarity with other programming languages is a plus.
Database Knowledge: Basic understanding of SQL and database management systems.
Dashboard Tools: Experience with dashboard creation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is advantageous.
Cloud Services : Knowledge of AWS (Amazon Web Services) is a plus.
Interest: Genuine interest in science-based investing/trading.
Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to be meticulous and thorough in task execution.
Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Communication : Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a small, dynamic team environment.
Additional Skills: Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and an understanding of trading systems or financial markets are beneficial.
Work Arrangement: This is a full-time position with a hybrid work schedule—4 hours in the office during the morning and 4 hours remotely.
Selection Process: Selected candidates will participate in a multi-stage interview process.
This includes a preliminary online interview of approximately 30 to 60 minutes, followed by an on-site interview of 2 to 3 hours, and potentially a final interview with the CEO.
The candidate will be part of the IEFP's +Talento internship program, and if not already registered upon selection, will be required to complete the registration.
