This role is crucial as we push the boundaries of our industry and elevate our teams to new heights.Role ResponsibilitiesStrategic Impact and Innovation: Establish the design direction, standards, and best practices for the PandaDoc Editor. Take a lead role in shaping the long-term vision and strategy for the personalization framework, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.Design Execution and Leadership: Hands-on design execution, steering the design direction.Mentorship: Fostering the professional growth of our design team, encouraging a culture of excellence and continuous learning.Collaboration: Proactively communicate changes, project progress, updates, project notes, strategic thoughts, etc. to managers, key stakeholders, and peers. Ensuring visual and functional consistency across all products by advocating for design system best practices and standards.Advocacy: Promoting design principles and user-centered design philosophy across the organization.Usability and Accessibility: Champion usability and accessibility principles to create intuitive and accessible user experiences. Refine user journeys and interactions to simplify complex workflows and enhance user satisfaction.Research: Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research to gather insights and refine design hypotheses. Iterate designs based on user feedback and research findings to continuously improve the product experience and validate design solutions.Your Core CompetenciesExperience: 8+ years of relevant experience in interaction design, visual design, information architecture, and design systems, with a strong passion for mentoring others in these domains, preferably in a senior or leadership role. Proven track record in designing sophisticated software products that prioritize intuitive user experiences.Expertise: Deep understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and accessibility standards. Strong understanding of user psychology and human-centered design principles. Bonus points if you have experience in document lifecycle management, editing, or collaboration software.Technical Skills: Proficiency in design tools (e.G., Figma, Framer, Adobe Creative Suite) and a strong understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
