We are in constant transformation and looking for a self-motivated, proactive, and flexible Operations Custody Manager to join our Custody team in Lisbon.
What does the Operations area do? It provides service excellence in operations focusing on client needs. We do this by ensuring best practices of execution on services related to Funds, Cash/Securities Management and Settlements, Payments, Reconciliation, and Control of Credit Operational Business, as well as Account Maintenance documentation.
What would be your key responsibilities? Team management;Plan, coordinate and monitor the activities of the Custody area, to ensure smooth functioning of activities, acting on Settlement, Asset transfer, Security Master File, Corporate Actions, Derivatives and Pricing execution;Monitor and reinforce the full implementation of the Department Mandate;Manage the available resources and monitor continuously the evolution of business;Monitor the processes, evaluating their risks, and developing improvement plans, in order to ensure full compliance with the standards and procedures and risk mitigation;Generate and control Quality indicators;Coordinate processes and their steps with other areas;Keep administrative tasks updated, such as system accesses, vacation plan, team coverage etc.;Participate in and contribute to the team annual performance review;Coordinate the functional analysis for the development and implementation of operational support systems;Manage validation tests regarding software upgrades and new products implementation;Monitor Audit and Compliance requests;Supervise and ensure the quality of the customer service;Work closely with other departments and units to ensure SLA is delivered;Develop and implement action plans to resolve issues, OROs and Audit Points.What are we looking for? Relevant degree qualification with strong academics in economics/finance;Minimum of 7 years of proven work experience in Banking;Minimum of 5 years of team management experience;Financial products knowledge;Knowledge of banking rules and regulatory requirements;Knowledge of SWIFT, Fedwire, Payments experience and Clearing;Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Excel, Power Point, Access and Word);Ability to work independently;Ability to perform in a high-paced environment within tight time frames;Fluent in English and Portuguese;Previous experience as a liaison between Operations and IT is a plus.What can you expect?
