NoOffer DescriptionThe ARNClo team at the Institute of Integrative Cell Biology (I2BC) in Gif-sur-Yvette is recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher to study the impact of peptidoglycan remodelling enzymes on resistance to antibiotics and environmental stresses in Clostridioides difficile. This assignment is part of the REMODIFF project funded by the ANR.Multidisciplinary approaches including bacterial genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, light and electron microscopy, phenotypic analysis, and in vivo infection models will be used to carry out the project.The ARNCLO team consists of a university professor, a senior lecturer, a permanent assistant engineer, a research engineer on fixed-term contract, 3 doctoral students, and a post-doctoral student. The team is part of the Microbiology Department of the I2BC, a joint research unit overseen by the CEA, the CNRS, and the Université Paris-Saclay, with a total average staff of 650.Eligibility CriteriaThe candidate will have strong knowledge and expertise in the field of cell wall structure and architecture of Gram-positive bacteria. He should have recently obtained a PhD and have a strong interest and track record in bacteriology, molecular biology, and protein biochemistry. Previous experience in handling strict anaerobic bacteria is required. Good communication skills in English are essential.#J-18808-Ljbffr
