Role Overview:
The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for the testing of Planet applications. This will involve verifying that the application meets the requirements set by the stakeholders. The Quality Assurance Analyst will bring a methodical approach to problem solving.
What you will do Testing: The QA Analyst regularly executes software/product tests and records the results during release cycles through manual and automated test cases. The QA Analyst also reviews functional and design specifications in order to ensure that there is a full understanding of individual deliverables.Shifting Test Left : In this capacity, the Quality Assurance Analyst actively takes part in the discovery and design phases of new software/product feature development and promotes continuous testing in an attempt to guarantee an error free final product.Meet Requirements: The QA Analyst ensures that validated deliverables always meet functional, design specifications and requirements of the software/products.Documentation: The QA Analyst maintains functional test cases as well as all other test assets, for example, data validation scripts and test data.Metrics: The QA Analyst maintains metrics on testing, bug rates, root causes, etc.Collaboration: The role is also a collaborative one and the Quality Assurance Analyst works with software/product developers in driving issue resolution.Software Release: Work with software/product development teams in ensuring that high quality and timely releases of software/products into market are realized.Knowledge: The Quality Assurance Analyst maintains knowledge of the industry best practices, introducing the most suitable practices to the business.Who you are 2-4 years of direct QA / software tester experienceAbility to take ownership of tasks & projects to deliver highest quality test serviceAbility helping other team members to deliver to a high quality standardEstimation and scheduling experienceExperience in writing & executing project test plans and test cases (manually & automated) based on business requirementsGood working knowledge of QA standards, processes, test automation & reporting tools and methodologiesKnowledge of Jira, Confluence, Xray, Postman, API testing, mocking approachesExperience in working in an Agile environment.
