The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire production plan, upstream and downstream, develop departmental policies and procedures designed to assure quality and mitigate problems.
The Production Manager will aim to improve throughput with the objective of meeting order demands and reducing overall costs while ensuring compliance with GACP and GMP Standards.
The incumbent will establish project charters, coordinate the design and construction of new facilities, build and manage an operating team, and manage the outlined activities while reporting back to senior leadership regarding timelines, deliverables, obstacles and milestones.
Role and Responsabilities Taking responsibility for the long-term planning including the operation budget, as well as daily oversight of Tilray's production plan, creating and communicating updates and plans Approving expenses and tracking monthly expenses Working closely with the Area Leads to oversee the day-to-day activities Leading departmental meetings articulating priorities on a daily/weekly basis; managing departmental KPI's, run rates and regulatory compliance Implementing production plans and creating standard operating procedures in collaboration with other members of the team Maintaining staffing levels and developing departmental stability with a focus on strategic redundancy, succession planning and employee development with a focus on training opportunities for all levels of staff Fostering a positive work environment of respect, quality, compliance and safety Working with Quality Assurance/Quality Control to coordinate and complete appropriate documentation to maintain our GMP certification Ensure compliance under GACP regulations and strive for GAP/GMP compliance where possible Responsible for leading all activities to a level of performance identifiable with world class organizations, using Lean production and continuous improvement techniques Overseeing all department specific projects, new CAPEX projects and procurement, installation, validation and all related change control procedures and CAPA implementation Responsible for administering company policies and aiding in the development of long range goals and objectives for all production activities Collaborating with Facilities to ensure assigned rooms and equipment are adequately maintained and records kept Identifying areas for metrics development, waste reduction and process flow improvements Ensure that Cultivation and Manufacturing cleaning and sanitization requirements are met following GACP/GAP and GMP guidelines Ensuring the effective execution of equipment and room sanitation tasks within established company policy, procedure and requirements (Safety, Quality, Compliance) Supports the Cleaning Validation Program Qualifications and Education Requirements Must have a degree in Engineering, Management, Agronomies or releted areas Must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Production Manager in a production facility with complex portfolio Excellent organizational and communication skills Proven ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Applications Conflict resolution skills; strong work ethic and positive team attitude Highly motivated ans self-directed, capable of multi-tasking, and able to work under minimal supervision; Project Management experience Knowledge of GACP and GMP standards Extremely detail-oriented and analytical thinker with the ability to interface directly with cross functional teams Ability to create and review technical documentation, including project plans and design specifications Able to develop, review, and maintain metrics and audits A well defined sense od diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills Willing to work a flexible schedule, including the ability to travel Experience using and implementing ERPs and other production related software's Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge and program implemented
