_ _The VAT Analyst responsible for the centralization of the Dawn EAM indirect tax compliance process through the preparation of VAT returns and other indirect tax related filings and through identifying and resolving reporting issues.This position communicates internally with other Dawn departments and externally with customers, vendors, and government agents on issues of tax compliance and processes.In this role you work under limited supervision of the Tax Manager EU & AMEAP.The role is based in Palmela (Portugal) and reports to the Tax Manager EU & AMEAP.Fundamentals of the position: Prepares Dawn Europe VAT returns, Intrastat reports, EC sales lists and supporting schedules and documentation Supports local finance teams with Plastic/Packaging Tax, CBAM and other indirect tax requirements Liaises with Dawn IT SAP developers for proper setup of VAT determination within Dawn's ERP systems (SAP/S4Hana) Reconciles various indirect tax accounts within the general ledger Provides guidance to Dawn Europe Supply Chain and Customer Service departments on transactional VAT, Excise, and Customs issues.Assists Dawn in complying with Standard Audit File for Tax (SAF-T) and e-invoicing laws and regulations Takes on project responsibility – demonstrates the ability to plan and prepare for, and execute, comprehensive projects from beginning to end.Demonstrates the ability to handle indirect tax research questions and able to communicate research findings effectively and provide recommendations based on the research done.Acts as the primary contact for indirect tax audits Maintains current VAT registrations and any other indirect tax registrations for all applicable Dawn Europe entities.To be successful you will bring: A minimum of 5 years of related work experience with direct experience in an indirect tax role Experience with supply chain and customs procedures is preferred Fluent in English (verbal and written), other EU language is a plus Microsoft Office suite of products skills are required SAP/BPC/Oracle experience is a plus Strong oral and written communication, time management and organization skills Ability to work within required time frames or deadlines Ability to oversee projects and audits with limited supervision Ability to provide strong attention to detail and accuracy of work Multi-tasking ability Positive attitude and a strong team player What do we offer?Competitive salary + bonus 22 days of annual leave + a day off to celebrate your birthdayLife Insurance Health insurance for TM and one family member Hybrid Working; the opportunity to split your week between the office and home Employee Assistance Program to support you and your family Volunteering program; spend a day volunteering in your local community Internal Recognition platform Access to over 10,000 courses on the Linkedin Learning platform #LI-Hybrid_ An Equal Opportunity Employer.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity/gender expression, citizenship status, military or veteran status, genetic information or any other status or condition that is protected by applicable law.Requisition ID: 35812
