With over 3 million users in 180+ countries and thousands more joining every month, they have built one of the leading golf apps in the market. Recently praised by Prestige, an online magazine catering to influential corporate leaders and Asia's elite, the app is hailed as "the best golf app available for players," thanks to its impressive stat-tracking features, exceptional user interface, and sophisticated, user-friendly design. With over 43,000 courses mapped, the app provides golfers with accurate GPS distances to greens, hazards, and offers a comprehensive aerial view of each hole. We are now looking for a skilled and experienced Backend Engineer with expertise in Ruby on Rails to join a dynamic team that develops and maintains high-quality apps used by hundreds of thousands of golfers worldwide every month. Contribute to the launch of new, innovative features that will delight our users. Help develop and scale new business streams Who You Are You have at least 6 years of experience building and maintaining web applications and APIs with significant user bases and data volumes. You are confident in taking substantial features and products from concept to deployment on your own. You are highly organized, responsible, and capable of managing your work effectively. You have extensive experience with the Ruby on Rails framework and SQL databases (we primarily use PostgreSQL). You are comfortable collaborating with teams to build and maintain user-facing features. You have a proven track record of solving complex technical challenges in areas such as security, search, caching, and performance. You are passionate about distributed systems and enjoy tackling scalability and reliability challenges. You appreciate and prioritize simple, effective solutions to complex problems. You don't need to know everything—just bring your expertise and the willingness to learn Golf knowledge is not required (though, of course, it helps) What Our Client Offers Competitive salary based on experience (it is competitive – 100%).
