With nearly 600 people worldwide, four R&D centers and six manufacturing sites, the Swiss-headquartered technology group offers high-performance connectivity solutions that manage power and data flows seamlessly from sensors and devices to the cloud, enabling the emergence of new and scalable ecosystems.
For our new Plant in Amarante, near Oporto, Portugal, we are looking for a Supply Planner to develop our network of suppliers locally in Portugal and Spain for the indirect materials of our factory in Portugal. Implement the plant's purchasing process locally to coordinate and monitor purchases, from requisition generation to product delivery and payment. This role includes defining, developing and maintaining the purchasing department's analysis and reporting tools.
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN YOUR ROLE: Identifying and recommending best-in-class suppliers thanks to benchmarks (technology, delivery time, quality, cost)Lead the qualification of new suppliers according to factory standardsAssess suppliers' capabilities, performance and risks and recommend mitigation actionsNegotiating supply contracts with suppliersManaging factory requirements: Ensuring the availability of components in quantity and time and in accordance with expectations (marking, processing…), while limiting inactive and obsolete stocksEnsuring that orders and delivery schedules are monitoredAnalyzing MRP requirements (SAP)Communicating requirements and forecasts to suppliersManaging the priorities of its product portfolio (internal and external)Keeping the technical data in the SAP information system up to date (supplier files, article database)Purchasing analyst: Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities and areas for process improvementGenerate regular reports and present the findings, providing insights to improve decision-makingTHE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU WILL BRING: Higher education in the areas of Engineering, Management, Applied Mathematics or similarProfessional experience in Purchasing functions, with national and international suppliers, in an international company specializing in microtechnology (preferably), in the automotive or aerospace sector (Minimum 5 Years)SAP knowledgeAbility to manage high volumes of information and correlate complex processesFluent in English (C1) and Portuguese (C1) (Mandatory)
