To apply for this job, you should be based in Portugal and have a valid work permit or Portuguese citizenshipAs a member of the IOT team, you will manage backend integrations to external third-party applications, improving operational efficiency. Your primary data source will be an IoT platform, which presents exciting challenges related to real-time data streams and artificial intelligence.Responsibilities:
Software Development:
Lead the design and development of visualizations and dashboards that transform real-time data from the IoT platform into actionable insights for farmers.User Interface Design:
Collaborate closely with designers to create an intuitive and user-friendly interface. Ensure a seamless and engaging experience for users interacting with aquaculture data.Real-time Data Integration:
Work on the challenges associated with real-time data streams, implementing solutions that provide timely and accurate information to enhance decision-making.AI Integration:
Collaborate with the back-end team to integrate AI outputs into visualizations, providing farmers with insights on optimizing fish growth.Main requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field;Proven experience as a Backend Engineer, with a focus on third-party integrations and IOT systems.Strong proficiency in at least one programming language such asNodeJS or Python3;Experience working with real-time data streams and understanding the challenges associated with presenting dynamic information. Knowledge of working with IoT platforms and extracting meaningful insights from sensor data;Experience working with full-stack engineering, particularly in building GraphQL endpoints;Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.Expertise in containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Nice to have
