SAP VIM Consultant – Backend Systems & Workflow Automation (Hybrid, Lisbon-Based) Location: Lisbon (Hybrid) Work Mode: Hybrid (Remote & On-site) Contract Type: Full-time / Freelancer About the Role We are looking for a highly skilled SAP VIM Consultant with expertise in backend system integration, workflow automation, and notification management .
The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing the SAP Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) module to support efficient invoice processing and automation .
This role is hybrid, based in Lisbon , allowing flexibility with remote work and occasional in-office presence.
Key Responsibilities SAP VIM Configuration & Maintenance – Ensure proper setup and maintenance of SAP VIM module to support streamlined invoice processing .
Backend System Integration – Integrate SAP VIM with other SAP modules and external systems to optimize data flow and efficiency.
Workflow Improvements – Analyze and enhance existing invoice processing workflows , reducing manual efforts and processing time.
Notification Management – Develop and implement notification systems to improve communication of invoice statuses and issues.
Automation Implementation – Design and execute automation solutions to improve invoice processing and workflow management .
Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution – Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SAP VIM-related issues.
Documentation & Reporting – Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, workflows, and process optimizations.
User Training & Support – Train end-users and finance teams on SAP VIM functionalities, best practices, and automation tools.
Qualifications & Skills Experience: Proven experience in SAP VIM configuration and management .
Technical & Functional Skills: Strong understanding of backend system integration and SAP architecture.
Expertise in workflow analysis, automation, and optimization .
Experience with notification systems and automated alerts .
Knowledge of OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and document scanning technologies .
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills .
Strong communication and documentation abilities .
Certifications & Language Requirements: SAP Certification in VIM or related modules is a plus.
English fluency is mandatory .
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes and invoice management.
Familiarity with machine learning and AI-driven automation in invoice processing.
Experience in conducting workshops and user training sessions .
