Offer Description
Aim of the work

The proposed work is open and adaptable according to the candidate's profile . The main objective is to study the security of AI Neural Network algorithm implementations on FPGAs , either at cloud or edge levels, against various types of attacks, such as adversarial attacks, input data extraction, or reverse engineering, and to propose countermeasures. The considered attack techniques can include side-channel attacks, fault injection, or cryptanalysis.

Profile of the candidate

PhD degree required in hardware security, computer science, or cryptography

Advanced skills in FPGA design (VHDL and/or HLS) and AI

Knowledge in hardware security, AI, and cryptanalysis is a plus

Autonomy and curiosity are necessary qualities

This position is held at the SESAM Team of the Hubert Curien Laboratory, University Jean-Monnet of Saint-Etienne / University of Lyon.

Duration : Postdoc 12-months with possibility of extension.

Start date : as soon as possible.
