Government Affairs and Public Policy Head (English)Experience driving progress, solving problems, and mentoring more junior team members; deeper expertise and applied knowledge within relevant area.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.7 years of experience in policy analysis and campaigns, working on technology issues or the policy environments that surround them.Experience in government, public affairs, advocacy, campaigns, or journalism.Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.Preferred Qualifications:Understanding of Android issues and opportunities.Understanding of the mobile ecosystem.Demonstrated excellent attention to detail.About the JobAs a member of Google's Government Affairs and Public Policy team, you'll be part of a diverse global government affairs team, working across regions, product areas, and functions.
You'll combine creativity and intellectual excellence with the organizational skills to manage various campaigns, projects, and initiatives.
In this role, you'll advocate for Google to bring external perspectives back into the company to inform our perception and direction.
You're passionate about the opportunity to shape the future of how we use and build technology for everyone.
ResponsibilitiesLead public policy strategy for a set of European regions for Google's Platforms and Devices Product Areas, including working with cross-functional teams to support our global business objectives and drive favorable policy and regulatory outcomes.
Manage policy projects on a host of issues affecting Google's Platforms and Devices Product areas, including user privacy, content, competition, and cross-industry relations.Work closely with Product, Business, and Engineering teams as well as the regional policy teams to advise on the policy and political implications of product development in Google's Platforms and Devices Product areas.Engage directly with policymakers, industry players, and key opinion formers to shape policy and political dialogue that impact Google's business objectives.Google is proud to be an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
